The world has always been our workplace. Back in 1990, Morgan built its early reputation by
moving airfreight around the globe-- getting goods to far-flung places faster and more flexibly
than the our competitors. No doubt, we have grown a lot in scale and scope since then, but we
have continued to build the overseas relationships that help us come through for our partners
time after time. We even began forming our own international subsidiaries in key manufacturing
and distribution locations. Today, you will find Morgan companies in Singapore, Malaysia, China,
South Africa and Mexico.
We are excited to announce that this past month, we have taken our global capabilities a step
further--with a new Morgan trucking service in some of the top manufacturing cities in the world. This
complements our current forwarding and fulfillment capabilities and will allow Morgan to
control every aspect of manufacturing logistics with our own equipment, facilities, information
systems and employees.
The program began Monday, May 19, when the first trucks rolled from our docks in Penang,
Malaysia. By the end of the year, our clients will be able to benefit from our own on-the-ground
trucking in locations throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
I have always gotten a thrill flying from where I founded our company so long ago in California
to some far-off U.S. city--only to land and see our Morgan logo rolling down the highway. I
marvel at how far we have come and feel proud that we are helping customers coordinate their
mission-critical, manufacturing activities with true "Supply On Demand." Nowadays, I see that
same familiar sight whether I am traveling to Tampa or Thailand.
